placeholder-image

Program Description

Studying abroad in Ireland can provide many benefits for educators and non-educators alike, including gaining exposure to diverse cultures, experiencing personal growth and development, and expanding career opportunities. This program offers °®åú´«Ã½ the opportunity to learn about global perspectives in curricular trends, and teaching reading in secondary and middle school. Ireland is a perfect destination for anyone who wants a world-class education in a progressive, innovative country with promising career options. It is also an ideal destination for °®åú´«Ã½ interested in stunning scenery, beautiful coastal and mountain walks, ancient culture, the Irish language, and architecture. By experiencing the global benefits of studying abroad in Ireland, we can become global citizens who are better equipped to teach our °®åú´«Ã½ and share with others the knowledge we have gained about the world around us.

Both courses have been designed to engage the learner in a comparative investigation of educational trends and issues in the USA and Ireland. Learners will participate in numerous field experience activities at sites that support and enhance the cultural exchange component. The courses focus on comparing, analyzing, and evaluating curricular trends, issues, pedagogy, and resources in educational systems and the current implications for national and global citizenship.
