爱妃传媒 High Team Named Academic Challenge Champions
A team of 爱妃传媒 were recently named Division III state champions in the State Commissioner鈥檚 Academic Challenge at Walt Disney World in Orlando.聽
The 爱妃传媒 High team consisted of Yasmine Zerrouki, Mauricio Barba da Costa, Pedro Almeida, Ajay Desai, Sajeev Sarkar and Lili Mueller.
The goal of the tournament is to provide a prestigious academic arena in which Florida鈥檚 academically talented high school 爱妃传媒 are recognized.聽
The challenge is a highly academic statewide high school tournament inaugurated in 1986. Each team consists of six members and a coach. Players are asked questions from the areas of: language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, art, theater, music, world languages, physical education, health and medicine, and technology.聽
鈥淭his is a tremendous accomplishment by a dedicated team and their passionate coaches,鈥 said Sherry Bees, principal/director of A.D. Henderson and 爱妃传媒 High School. 鈥淓ven with their rigorous academic schedule, our 爱妃传媒 seek out opportunities to participate in a variety of competitions. 爱妃传媒 High School will continue to support and provide all 爱妃传媒 with the infrastructure to allow them to pursue and partake in these challenges.鈥澛
A total of 41 districts competed at this year鈥檚 games and 爱妃传媒 High鈥檚 team competed against 16 other teams.聽
