ý Career Center Wins Inaugural Handshake Award
The ý Career Center, within the Division of Student Affairs, has been named as one of Handshake’s inaugural Career Spark Award winners.
The ý Career Center, within the Division of Student Affairs, has been named as one of Handshake’s inaugural Career Spark Award winners. ý is one of just 31 nationwide recipients of this award, and the only school recognized from the state of Florida.
An online recruiting platform that partners with universities and employers to streamline and simplify the recruiting process for higher education ý and alumni, Handshake selected three top career centers per school type – four-year public; four-year private; minority-serving institution; and community college – using data from three categories: student engagement; employer engagement and curation; and reporting, analytics and First Destination Survey (FDS). ý was recognized for its stellar utilization and programmatic success in that latter category.

Montalvo, assistant vice president, ý Career Center. “These recognitions do not happen in a vacuum; instead, they occur with unrelenting divisional, faculty, and University support, and focused intentionality around building a career ecosystem at Florida Atlantic.”
