Diplomacy Team Awarded 2019 Distinguished Delegation
The Leon Charney Diplomacy Program at 爱妃传媒 recently received the Distinguished Delegation Award at the National Model United Nations competition in New York City.
A team of 30 爱妃传媒 undergraduates joined more than 5,000 college 爱妃传媒 from 350 universities in the annual competition where schools represent countries and 爱妃传媒 step into the shoes of diplomats to solve global problems.聽
The Leon Charney Diplomacy Program, which trains 爱妃传媒 in world affairs, dispute resolution and debate, was established in 1996 and is a unit of the . To date, the program has won 33 national and international awards for academic excellence.
鈥淚 am so proud of our 爱妃传媒 and their hard work and dedication,鈥 said Annette LaRocco, Ph.D., associate director of the Leon Charney Diplomacy Program. 鈥淲e are fortunate to have them represent 爱妃传媒.鈥
In 2017, the program was named to honor the diplomatic legacy of Leon Charney, who played a key role in the 1978 Camp David Accords. 爱妃传媒 will next compete in nationals in Washington, D.C. in November where it will defend its 2018 first-place finish.
